  • List-like sending behavior (>50 unique recipients/hour)

Marketing Email Features

Marketing emails automatically get:

  • List-Unsubscribe header (RFC 2369 compliant)
  • Precedence: bulk header
  • One-Click unsubscribe support
  • Separate sending priority (queued after transactional)

Attachment Security

  • ClamAV virus scanning (real-time)
  • File type validation by magic bytes (prevents masquerading)
  • Dangerous extension blocking
  • Macro-enabled document blocking (.docm, .xlsm, .pptm)
  • Size limits (10MB per attachment)

Account Suspension Criteria

Immediate Permanent Suspension (1 violation):

  • Phishing attempts or brand impersonation
  • Malware or virus distribution
  • Child exploitation content

Automatic Suspension (3 violations in 24 hours):

  • Adult or sexually explicit content
  • Illegal drugs or weapons promotion
  • Scam or fraud patterns
  • Disposable email domain usage

Temporary suspension for 7 days, appeal can be submitted

Reputation-Based Suspension:

  • Bounce rate >10% for 7 consecutive days
  • More than 2 spam complaints (ISP feedback loops)
  • 5+ security violations within 24 hours

Appeal Process:

Submit appeal through dashboard or email support@ogbae.com. Appeals reviewed within 48 hours. Permanent suspensions for critical violations are generally not reversible.

Do I need different API keys for transactional vs marketing?

No. Use the same API key or SMTP credentials for both. Our system automatically detects the email type and charges accordingly (1 credit for transactional, 5 for marketing).

How do you detect marketing emails?

We analyze promotional keywords, bulk template variables ({{name}}), sending patterns, recipient diversity, and unsubscribe links. Marketing emails are automatically charged 5 credits.

Can I send newsletters and abandoned cart emails?

Yes! Marketing emails (newsletters, abandoned cart, feedback requests) are fully supported. They're automatically detected and charged 5 credits per email. List-Unsubscribe headers are added automatically.

What content is prohibited?

Phishing, malware, adult/sexual content, illegal services (drugs, weapons, gambling), and spam are strictly prohibited. Violations result in immediate account suspension.

What file types can I attach?

Most common file types are allowed (PDF, images, documents). Blocked for security: .exe, .bat, .vbs, .ps1, .scr, .cmd, .com, .msi, and macro-enabled Office documents (.docm, .xlsm).

How does the queue system work?

All emails are processed asynchronously with automatic retry logic. Transactional emails get higher priority. Failed emails retry up to 3 times with exponential backoff.

Why was I charged 5 credits for an email?

Your email was classified as marketing based on content patterns. Check your dashboard for the email type breakdown. If you believe it was misclassified, contact support.

Technical Security Details

Bounce Handling

VERP (Variable Envelope Return Path) for accurate bounce tracking. Hard bounces suppressed immediately. Soft bounces after 3 attempts. Account blocked automatically at >10% bounce rate.

IP Reputation Monitoring

Sending IP monitored against 12 major blacklists every 6 hours (Spamhaus, SpamCop, Barracuda, SORBS, etc.). Real-time reputation score visible in dashboard.

Malware Protection

ClamAV integration with 70M+ virus signatures. All attachments scanned in real-time. Infected files blocked immediately with notification.

Phishing Prevention (Coming Soon)

Link analysis for brand impersonation, suspicious domains, and known phishing patterns. Integration with Google Safe Browsing API planned.

Content Filtering (Coming Soon)

Adult/sexual content detection, illegal service promotion blocking, and spam pattern recognition to protect sender reputation.

Authentication

Domain verification required (SPF + DKIM). Automatic DKIM signing. DMARC support for enhanced security.
